There is a visa waiver agreement between Spain and New Zealand, so it is not necessary to apply for a visa for Spanish citizens who want to visit New Zealand as long as the stay is less than three months. In any case, the following is required:

  • An outbound flight from New Zealand with a stay of less than three months.
  • Prove that you have a monetary fund of more than 1,500 euros, either in cash, travel cards or bank account statement.
  • A passport valid for up to three months after the expiration date of the first three months of possible stay in New Zealand (that is, more than six months since the feet are set in the country)

Mexican and Moroccan citizens do not have such good luck and must complete their visas through the Embassy before making the trip.

It costs approximately 1,000 Mexican pesos and a form must be completed and sent to the Embassy along with the details of your round trip ticket, a demonstration that you have more than 500 euros to make the trip, the original passport valid up to at least three Months after the date New Zealand is signed, a photo of the card and visa fees to be consulted with the Embassy.

In addition, Mexican citizens must include a letter explaining the reason for the trip and a letter from the workplace verifying the validity of the employment contract.

For more information, it is advisable to take a look at each of the New Zealand Embassies in the world for more details including the possibility of work or study visas.
